These Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Co-nnectory website and membership services. By creating an account or purchasing a listing you accept these Terms in full.

1. About The Co-nnectory

The Co-nnectory is a membership directory for South African owned or South African run businesses operating in the Netherlands. Members receive a business listing, a linked personal profile, community access and directory tools. All listings are manually reviewed and approved before appearing on the site.

2. Eligibility

Listing eligibility follows the criteria published in our FAQs. The Co-nnectory may decline applications that do not meet these requirements. We may also remove listings that no longer qualify or that breach these Terms.

3. Membership and Payments

Membership is billed monthly through PayPal. Payments renew automatically each month until you cancel. There are no refunds for any membership period. If you cancel your membership it remains active until the end of the paid period. Membership cannot be paused. Future advertising options may be added and will have their own rules if introduced.

4. Verification of Listings

We verify basic business legitimacy before approving a listing. This means confirming that the business exists and meets our eligibility criteria. We do not verify service quality, performance, legal compliance or business outcomes.

5. Business Responsibilities

Members must ensure their business information is accurate, truthful and kept up to date. Outdated or misleading listings may be edited or removed. Members may upload images and media depending on their membership plan. All uploaded content must belong to the member or be used with permission. The Co-nnectory may remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Reviews

Reviews are public. Members and users must only submit honest feedback based on genuine experiences. The Co-nnectory may remove reviews that are abusive, unlawful, harmful or irrelevant. Businesses may request removal of reviews they believe are false and The Co-nnectory may act at its discretion.

7. Personal Profiles

Each business listing includes personal profiles for team members linked to that business. These profiles are visible to logged-in members. Members must provide accurate details and may not impersonate anyone. The Co-nnectory may edit or remove personal profiles that contain misleading or inappropriate content.

8. Communication Between Members

Members may interact with each other through the platform where tools are available. Messaging must be respectful and may not be used for spam, mass solicitation or sharing or selling member data. Misuse of communication tools may result in suspension or termination.

9. Community Conduct

Members must behave respectfully and professionally. The directory may not be used for harassment, discrimination, unlawful activity or attempts to harm another member’s reputation. The Co-nnectory may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the platform or its community features.

10. Directory Use and Content

Information on The Co-nnectory is provided by members. Users must make their own assessments before engaging with a business. The Co-nnectory may edit or remove content to protect the integrity of the directory. The Co-nnectory also retains the right to add or modify directory features.

11. Liability

The Co-nnectory is not responsible for the quality or performance of services provided by listed businesses. All agreements between members, businesses and users are private. The Co-nnectory is not liable for losses, damages, disputes or outcomes that arise from using information on the site. Use of the directory is at your own risk.

12. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website running smoothly. However, availability cannot be guaranteed. The Co-nnectory may restrict or suspend access for maintenance, upgrades or security reasons.

13. Intellectual Property

All content created by The Co-nnectory is owned by The Co-nnectory. Members retain ownership of their uploaded content and grant The Co-nnectory permission to display and use that content as part of their listing and related features. Members must not upload content that infringes on the rights of others.

14. Account Suspension and Removal

The Co-nnectory may suspend or remove any account or listing that breaches these Terms, misuses the platform or harms the community. This may occur without refund. Members may also request closure of their account at any time.

15. Privacy and Data Use

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Data is used to support your experience, your membership, your business listing and your communications with other members. Data will never be sold.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes must be resolved under Dutch jurisdiction.
